Nowadays, many graduates leave school without desires to future learning, estimating studying as a negative experience. From my point of view, this tendency is caused by improper management of education by the government, which suppresses students’ willingnesses towards learning. I believe, that this issue can be solved through several modifications in the education system.
The main reasons for many young people being biased towards studying may be school’s force to spend certain amount of time on the provided lessons and common unnecessary strictness from teachers even to small pupils. Sadly, impossibility to regulate schedule individually in most of the countries creates the problem of information overload and emotional breakdown in students, especially if this happens along with unfriendly atmosphere in the classroom. For example, my sister, who is a humanitarian, spent the majority of her time within almost each day in the school practicing maths because it was an everyday 3-hour long lesson, which decreased her chances of entering the university as she did not even pass the exam for the sphere (in my region, these exams influence the most on enrolling).
The changes I suggest are the partial freedom to select lessons students wish to explore and creating of coziness and comfortable vibe inside of the school by generating extra activities for people of any age to take part in. The capability of choosing subjects to visit will increase the degree of motivation in learners, while several rules and necessity to attend significant spheres less often will help dealing with mental health issues. The diversity may also be enhanced the availability of extra contests and events.
In conclusion, the monotony, aspiration to order and the absence of inclusivity in the schools are definitely the main factors behind the issue of frustration in learning among graduates. It is also essential for teaching staff to check the emotional state of the students.
