In the current climates, there are contentious arguments regarding the efficiency of zoological garden. While some believe that zoos are often cruel and futile, I firmly disapprove of this view and will explore the rationale behind my perspective in the following discussion.
First and foremost, modern zoos provide a secure haven for animals that cannot survive in wild due to injury or habitant loss. Human expansion for housing, agriculture, and infrastructure results in deforestation and wetland drainage. When animals lose their habitats, their chances of survival are significantly diminished. It has been conclusively proven that preventing species extinction contributes to the balance of ecosystems, preserves the natural environment, and supports human health. In these circumstances, conservation parks, by allocating meticulous care and medical treatment for vulnerable fauna can play a pivotal role in enhancing the likelihood of animals returning to their natural habitat. A prime example is China, which has capitalized on the protection of endangered species such as pandas through thriving conservation strategies and expanding nature parks.
On the other hand, zoos can serve as platforms to enhance our knowledge concerning animal behaviors, health, and genetics. Conducting comprehensive studies not only advances wildlife conservation efforts but also improves the welfare of animals in captivity. Alongside these protective plans, many visitors can be attracted through effective advertisements, which allow individuals to experience a deeper connection with wildlife and increase their awareness of the significance of ecological protective measures. For instance, the Eram Park in Iran is renowned for its environmental safeguarding efforts, providing a safe sanctuary for injured creatures, with many visitors enthusiastically touring the complex. Therefore it is reasonable to argue that zoological parks can offer numerous benefits for wildlife, ensuring a higher quality of life.
In conclusion, while some believe that zoos may seem like an unwelcoming environment, others, including myself, hold the view that natural parks are crucial bedrocks for ensuring the health of the environment, which is closely linked to people’s well-being.
