The pie chart displays information regarding the devices people in the 18- to 24-year-old age group use to watch entertainment programmes: Mobile phone, Laptop, Tablet, Desktop computer, Flat-screen TV, and Conventional TV in Malaysia in 2009 and 2019.
Overall, people spent much time on different types of entertainment activities while eating. Tablet devices were used to watch less in 2009, while, on the other hand, Conventional TV devices were used to watch a smaller percentage in 2019.
As can be seen from the pie chart, in 2009, Tablet devices were used for 5% of children’s electronic games, while children spent 19% of their time on Tablet devices in 2019. However, in Malaysia, Mobile phone devices were used to watch 15% of leisure programs in 2009, whereas the percentage was 26% in 2019.
On the other hand, people in the 18- to 24-year-old age group used Desktop computer devices to watch activity programs 18% of the time in 2009, while in 2019, children watched 12% of entertainment programs in Malaysia. Moreover, in Malaysia, the frequency of children snacking while watching Conventional TV was 4% in 2019. The frequency of Malaysian children playing sports while enjoying snacking was 34% in 2009. Children watched Flat-screen TV more than in 2019, but spent less time on Laptops than in 2009.
