People who do mental work are mostly educated. They spend many years studying and become professionals. I think they deserve to have a high salary. On the other hand, people with physical jobs could have very tough and challenging work to do. For example, miners; I think mining is the toughest and most challenging job in the world. They have a very tough situation, but their payment is very low. In my opinion, it's not fair. They deserve to have a higher salary.
