The two blueprints below illustrate the development that has taken place in a beachfront area in Australia from 1950 to the present day, with labels and pictures. Both maps include several artificial features that illustrate the changes over time.
At first glance, it is clear that the place has changed significantly during this period. First, the road on the north has been expanded towards the west and ends at the lighthouse. In order to accommodate visitors, the playground in the northwest was removed and replaced with a new car park. Additionally, the old car park in the northeast has been extended.
Moreover, on the west side, a new restaurant has been built so that tourists can have a meal there. In addition, two surf clubs were added on the east and west sides of the beach. Furthermore, a pool near the restaurant was enlarged from 25 meters to 50 meters.
Lastly, other facilities such as the dining tables, pavilion, and lighthouse have remained the same over the period
