The graph illustrates the number of people that have landline telephones in different countries in the duration of five years.
Overall, the graph highlights that the number of telephone users has declined in the five year except in Camodia and Vietnam in which landline users have increased upto fifty people. Further, it shows the maximum number of telephone users is in Singapore and Brunei Darussalam.
The percentage of telephone users in Singapore is maximum in 2000. About more than 400 people per 1000 used telephone in 2000 which slightly decreased in 2004 upto 400. Brunei Darussalam is the second on the list among the countries where more people use telephone. In 2002, around 250 people owned landline telephone which rise a bit and then abated to approximately 230.
Very few people use telephone in the countries like Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar and Lao PDR. In these countries not more than 50 people had telephone numbers and the countries like Indonesia, Lao PDR and Thailand, the number decreased to zero.
