Opinions on learning several cultures are divided in to two groups: some reckon that it is easier to get to know that via travelling whereas others consider media and books to be a better option. Personally, I believe the latter group of people can outweigh in options to overcome learning cultures.
First and foremost, books and movies are likely the most widespread information sources for one to be aware of the cultures of nations. This is because, nowadays as the interest on the cultures has increased among people, writers and movie producers usually try to highlight a custom as clearly as possible. This in turn, makes it very easy to grasp a rich variety of customs around the world. For example, the movie Alisher Navoiy clearly illustrates the customs and traditions of Uzbekistan and even sometimes the dates and meanings of them as well.
Moreover, the Internet has developed a lot since the beginning of the century with which many people find it both easy to access and enjoyable to surf. In other words, people, whenever long to know any kind of data in any field, they can just go online and google it at a touch of a button. In contrast, if people were willing to go abroad as for a single goal which is learning a nation, it could have cost a lot. They may just get a book, watch a movie or even surf the net to get relevant information on a worldwide scale rather than visit another country.
In conclusion, albeit there are many who ponder travelling would be the best choice to get to know other nation’s traditions, I personally agree with those who prefer films, books and Internet instead, which is mainly because of the lower cost and wider range of data
