Last year, when I traveled to the USA, I visited a restaurant in LA, which looked attractive because I saw from the outside that they had a lot of customers. I immediately found an unoccupied table, and I waited for the waiter to approach me. I was so excited to order some food. However, even after more than 30 minutes, no one tried to get my order. Even though I already raised my hand several times to catch their attention. So I decided to get up and go to the counter to complain. I asked one waiter why no one approached me to get my order. Fortunately, he just apologized right away and told me that he didn’t notice me. Frankly speaking, I didn’t believe it because I didn’t want to argue, and I didn’t want the situation to escalate. Besides, I’m also not really good at English. Uh, so I just accepted his apology and placed my order instead. Actually, I didn’t feel good at the time because I thought that it was a form of racial discrimination. I was thinking it’s really hard to be a nation. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the food when it was served, and they even gave me some desserts on the house. So I think everything ended well.
