Last year, when I traveled to the USA, I visited a restaurant in LA, which looked attractive because I saw from the outside that they had a lot of customers. I immediately found an unoccupied table, and I waited for the waiter to approach me. I was so excited to order some food. However, even after more than 30 minutes, no one tried to take my order, despite my attempts to get their attention by raising my hand several times. So I decided to get up and go to the counter to complain. I asked one waiter why no one had approached me to take my order. Fortunately, he immediately apologized and explained that he hadn't noticed me. Although I was skeptical, I didn't want to argue or escalate the situation, especially since I'm not very fluent in English. I accepted his apology and proceeded to place my order. At that moment, I didn't feel good because I suspected it might be a form of racial discrimination. However, I chose not to dwell on it. When the food was served, I enjoyed it, and to my surprise, they even offered me some complimentary desserts. In the end, I felt that the issue was resolved satisfactorily.

Fortunately, he just apologized right away and told me that he didn’t notice me. Frankly speaking, I didn’t believe it because I didn’t want to argue, and I didn’t want the situation to escalate. Besides, I’m also not really good at English. Uh, so I just accepted his apology and placed my order instead. Actually, I didn’t feel good at the time because I thought that it was a form of racial discrimination. I was thinking it’s really hard to be a nation. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the food when it was served, and they even gave me some desserts on the house. So I think everything ended well.
