The Schematic diagram demonstrates the process involved in the generation hydroelectricity using the water of the reservoir.
Overall hydroelectricity uses a natural phenomenon such as water cycle in order to create electricity. Water is used to generate electricity and the generated electricity is passed through different stations which is finally distributed to local for consumption.
At first the water is collected in a reservoir through water cycle. Naturally when the Sea gets heated from the sun, water evaporates and forms cloud. When cloud cools down it rains and the water is stored in a reservoir.
Once the water is collected valve is opened. The water flowing through turbine generates electricity. Excess water is pumped back to the reservoir so that it can be reused. Electricity is passed through high voltage cables then electricity is stored in transformer station. The electricity is passed to local houses, school, hospitals and factories using underground cables.
