The image depicts a combination of a bar graph and a line graph comparing bathing suit sales (in hundred thousands of US dollars) and average temperatures (in Fahrenheit) for New York City in 2012 from January to June. Sales increase from $50,000 in January to $300,000 in June, while temperatures rise from 30°F to 70°F over the same period. May saw the largest sales jump to $250,000. Sales and temperatures show a positive correlation.
Given the complexity of the image, the above description may not be entirely accurate.

The graphic gives information about the average temperature in New York and also revenue generated from sales of bathing suits. All of the information is from the first half of 2012.

Not surprisingly we can see that the coldest months were those in winter with the temperature rising steadily throughout spring and into summer. However, the warmer weather does not seem to correlate with an increase in bathing suit sales.

Revenue from bathing suit sales started fairly strong at the beginning of the period and rose steadily over the first three months from ten to fifteen million dollars. After this sales shot up with revenue doubling in April. Then sales decreased dramatically over May and June.

Overall, we can see that most people in New York seem to prefer buying a bathing suit in the winter and spring months and, contrary perhaps to expectations, bathing suit sales were relatively poor in the summer.
