The bar chart provides information about expenditure of five different areas in France and the United Kingdom in the year 2010.
Overall, the UK has allocated more money to cars, books and cameras whereas France did so in the other two categories. It is also clear that both countries have spent more money on automobiles, and the biggest difference was in cameras.
Money was spent more by the UK on cars, books and cameras than in France. In the former category, the UK spent just above 450.000 pounds, whereas France spend 55.000 pounds less. For books, both countries spend less money than they did on cars. Approximately 410.000 and 300.000 pounds for the UK and France respectively. However, on cameras, the expenditure gap widened. France spent triple times less money (150.000 pounds) than the United Kingdom (approximately 350.000 pounds)
However, France’s expenses for computers and perfume were more than the UK’s. About 380.000 pounds was spent by France in comparison with the UK it was 350.000 pounds. But in both countries, money was spent less than former. It was 200.000 pounds for France and just below 150.000 for the UK.
