The given process diagram illustrates the procedure of manufacturing wood pallets which are utilised to heat buildings as well as useful in pellet stoves and furnaces.
Overall, it can be seen that the whole process has seven steps to follow in which sawdust is used as a raw material and the final products are the pellets which are packed at the end for sale.
The initial step is the arrival of sawdust from the sawmill. When sawdust arrives, it is hammered into fibers of equal length in a hammer mill. After this, the fibers are dampened with steam. In the next step, these fibers are pushed through holes in a pellet machine to form pellets.Furthermore, pellets are left to cool down for some time.
In the second last step, the loose dust which is spread on the pellets is vacuumed off. At the final stage, pellets are packed into 18 kilo bags for sale in the market.
