The first graph collate the percentage of people who took public transportation in five Australian cities to work between 2000 and 2010, while the second graph compares the same crises in private cars in these cities during the same period.
Overall, there was some variation in people traveling by public transportation in five Australian cities over this period. At the same time, a similar situation was observed in private cars.
Sydney and Melbourne were the most common public transport where the people traveled to work in 2000, with reaching almost 25% of people. The percentage had decreased rapidly to around 18% and 14% by the year 2006 and 2008. But both the trend slightly increased in 2010. In addition, the other three cities had percentage of people which traveled to public transport in 2000. However, travel by public transport declined rapidly and by 2008 there was one in every people.
It was observed for private cars, all cities had a consistent trend every year in terms of the number of people who followed it. However, the percentage of people increased rapidly and by 2008 there was one in every people. After that, they experienced only a small drop in 2010, except for people in Perth.
