The flowchart illustrates different stages in the process of recycling aluminum cans over six weeks.
Overall, there are three main stages, which can be divided into eleven stages. Initially, the process begins with the collection of waste cans, followed by the recycling procedures, and lastly, the preparation for the production of new cans.
At the beginning of the process, the waste aluminum cans are collected by garbage-collecting trucks and transported to the deposit place in the recycling center.
In the recycling center, the wastes are washed with water and crushed. The process continues and is treated with chemicals. After that, it is heated at high temperature and moulded. Then, the aluminum is weighed to determine its total mass.
The last main stages are rolling the aluminum and manufacturing new cans for sale.
