Opinions are divided on whether developed and wealthy nations should provide impoverished countries with financial subsidies or giving them other types of help as an attempt to tackle poverty. This essay will present my view that even though the former yield certain benefits, I am more inclined to the latter.

It is no denying that financial aid plays a pivotal role in solving poverty. Firstly, with the money provided from developed countries, underdeveloped nations with high rate of homeless people, take a few areas in Africa as an example, would be supplied with proper shelters and food. This act will certainly enhance the living quality of these people as well as combatting the concern with starvation. Furthermore, these aids could also be spent on companies in other to raise their employess’ salary, thus increasing the total income of one family and providing them a better living condition.

On the other hand, providing impoverished countries with money will not completely solve the root causes of poverty. As the main reasons of poverty come from the lack of education as well as poor job prospect that leads to unemployment, subsidizing with money will only temporarily solve the issue with poverty. Meanwhile, there are several other types of help that should be carefully considered. One of such is building more local schools and making tuition fees to become free of charge. This suggested method will make education be availble for children from low-income families, hence enhancing their chance of getting well-paid jobs in the future. Moreover, developed countries should open more election of abroad careers in their countries in order to provide people from poor nations a chance of getting high salary jobs abroad.

In conclusion, even though providing poor countries with financial aid would bring about several positive benefits such as attempting to lower death rate related to starvation, it cannot solve the problem with poverty completely, hence I wholeheartedly believe that providing these nations with other kinds of help, such as making tuition fees to become fully free, is a more effective approach.
