Hamburgers are most popular among high income groups.Western groups spend around as pence per person per week followed by average and then low income groups.All groups spend almost similar money on fish and chips between 11 pence to 33 pence.Low income group spent six and average income groups spent 20 pence while high income groups spent 26 pence and around 13 pence respectively.
Fish and chips dominantly consumed in 1980 by around 300 grams which reduced gradually in next 15 years and again rose slightly in 1990 to around 220 grams.However, hamburgers and pizza consumption showed similar trend of around 90 and 60 grams respectively in 1980, the figure went up gradually and reached at around 550 grams and 250 grams, respectively.
Overall, Fish and chips were dominating the market in first years which replaced by hamburgers in final years.
