The bar chart gives information about how much money each person spend on fast food by income groups, while the line graph illustrates the changes in consumption of fast food between 1970 and 1990 in Britain.
Overall, spending on hamburgers was the highest amount in high income group while in low income groups had the lowest expenditure on fast food.
According to the bar chart, the high income group spent on hamburgers most, but spent on fish and chips less. In the average income group, hamburgers higher than pizza, while in the low income group pizza lower than hamburgers. Furthermore, the highest figure was fish and chips in the low income group.
Regarding the line graphs, in 1970, fish and chips consumption was more than 300, but pizza consumption was less than 100 grammes. Fish and chips fell gradually from 300 grammes to 200 in between 1973 and 1985.
After that, the average of this slightly recovered. In contrast, consumption of hamburgers increased slowly but consistently over the period of time. Pizza was less than 100 grammes in 1970 and it ended at approximately 300 grammes in 1990.
