The given bar graph illustrates the changes in the percentage of people, who were born in Australia and who were born outside Australia, living in urban, rural and town areas, between 1995 and 2010. In an overview, we can understand that a large portion of the people born outside Australia, perfer to live in cities in both 1995 and 2010.
In 1995, both the citizens and the non citizens preferred to live in urban areas than rural areas and towns. More than half of the Australian natives, wanted to live in cities and, around 20 percent of the people preferred towns. The proportion of people setteled in rural and towns areas only differ by 10% in 1995. The non-native peolpe mostly prefered cities and rural areas, and only a small share of the individuals chose towns.
In 2009, the nationals and foriegners mostly lived in cities. The percentage of the people living in towns and rural areas where less than 20 per-cent. In 1995, around 40% of foriegners lived in rural areas, but in 2009, only 5% preferred rural areas.
