I believe older people are generally less likely to change their plans compared to younger individuals. This is mainly because they tend to be more disciplined and value structure in their daily lives. With age often comes experience and many older adults have learned the importance of planning ahead and sticking to the schedule. Of course an expected situation can still occur but in general they prefer to follow thoughts with their commitments. On the other hand younger people especially teenagers are those in their 20s might be more spontaneous and flexible which sometimes leads them to change plans more frequently.
