Some individuals tend to believe that students should study only subjects that will benefit them in the future. I strongly disagree with this point of view, because the future is never certain, and learning other valuable skills is also equally important.
First and foremost, most students learn many subjects in school. They are usually engaged in both science-based subjects and those that require creativity, like art, singing, and acting. This type of school curriculum balances students’ overall worldview and helps them find out their desired future career. In addition, many people do not get to discover their deep talents by not trying themselves in many fields. That being said, learning many skills in life is undeniably beneficial and equips students with the opportunity of obtaining a strong worldview.
In recent years, studying a limited number of subjects has become a popular trend among students. This is because of the great impact of technology on education. Many students are now choosing to study subjects like mathematics, physics, and information technology, which indeed is great, but not studying other subjects like art, music, and history is short-sighted. Furthermore, if this trend keeps going, the consequence might be the loss of cultural identity.
In conclusion, I firmly disagree with the idea stated above. In fact, I think that students should continue learning other valuable subjects that are already in the school curriculum.
How is this an 8? Im surprised by my own essay.

International tourism has brought enormous benefit to many places. At the same time, there is concern about its impact on local inhabitants and the environment. Do the disadvantages of international tourism outweigh the advantages?
There is no denying the fact that the phenomenon of foreign travel being beneficial is ubiquitous across the globe due to its importance. The majority of people are in favour of this statement due to its number of merits. However, some people highlight its demerits first. In my following paragraphs, the advantages and disadvantages of it will be discussed.
Initiating with the benefits of it, the first and foremost key benefit is that a country that has international tourists is likely to develop more quickly in aspects such as technology, facilities, and education. For example, immigrants migrate to a certain city and work as teachers in a school; they teach pupils how they were taught in their country. Based on my experience, I had an English teacher who originated from the UK and taught us her way of speaking English, with an accent and pronunciation that everyone had never heard from local teachers. As a result, her students’ English skills improved, and they were able to continue the lessons they received from her.
On its darker side, some of the drawbacks which make it problematic are that local inhabitants might abandon or neglect their own culture. To cite an example, foreigners are starting up new businesses in Indonesia, and this has led to a drop in native stores’ sales, specifically in the clothing department, such as Matahari, which is now replaced by another imported clothing brand.
In conclusion to the above statement, neither pros nor cons can be neglected. It is a mixed bag of positives and negatives. In my opinion, the statement should not be underestimated.

In some countries there are more young people choosing to enrol in work-based training instead of attending university.
Do the advantages of this situation outweigh the disadvantages?
In the 21st century, the younger generation in many nations has started to choose work-based training instead of attending university. In my view, the disadvantages outweigh the benefits. This is mainly because if young people choose vocational training for their employability, they may not reach high-level jobs such as being a doctor, lawyer, or politician. This situation creates drawbacks for their career path.
On the one hand, if people do not have academic qualifications for high-level professions, it is impossible to become a doctor or a lawyer. Especially, fields like medicine, law, and engineering require a theoretical foundation that cannot be learned on-the-job. For instance, a surgeon must finish many academic years before they can perform an operation.
On the other hand, work-based training is good for finding a job quickly. At the same time, this type of training provides a salary, and individuals do not need to repay student loans or scholarships. These are practical benefits for many young people who want to be independent early.
In conclusion, although work-based training helps people earn money early, I believe that university is more crucial for a professional career. Besides, as individuals build a strong professional career, they face new opportunities in their career path every passing day.
Many people believe that the internet has made people’s lives easier and more convenient. To what extent do you agree or disagree.
Individuals think that the internet has made our lives more effortless and more comfortable. I agree with this opinion because, with the internet, we can communicate with people from anywhere, and secondly, we can find information and materials online.
Nowadays, our life is linked with the internet, and many people use it to communicate internationally. It is the internet which gave us the opportunity to meet people from anywhere. In the past, it was entirely different and difficult. People used letters when the distance was long, but now it is way better than in the past. We have video calls and social media for chatting or talking. For example, you have a close relative who is abroad, and you want to speak with them, or you have something to say to him. Thus, the usage of the internet has increased, and almost all people are using the internet for this purpose.
Secondly, with the help of the internet, we can find any information about anything. In other words, it is easy to get information that you do not know. For example, a boy who loves cars wants to get information about them, and it is easy with phone internet, but in the past, it was difficult; they learned everything from books. It took a lot of time to find essential information. Therefore, we have websites, and we can find any information by using our phones.
In conclusion, the Internet was the best discovery in human history, and I agree it changed human life and made it easier.
