  1. Muhammad Abdullah says:

Spending your life in a foreign country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social as well as practical problems. Such person has many disadvantages in their social life due to the language barrier.

Many people think living in a country far from your home can cause many problems. It might damage their social life like damaging their relations with others due to lack of communication. They do not able to build the good relations with others due to this hurdle. They are not capable of making good friends in the society. Mostly people do not have a trust on the foreigners because they do not accept them as a part of their society.                                                                                         This is also very challenging for them in their practical life as well. To study in such country is also a big challenge. It damage their grades. They find it difficult to find the jobs to excel their career because they are not been able to convince others. It damage their mental health as well. On the other hand, people think it is beneficial for a person to learn more than one language. It help them to expand their career opportunities and their social spectrum. Science believes that bilinguals are more successful in their life becuase it strengthens their decision making as well.

In conclusion, it is very difficult to spend your life in a foreign country due to language barrier. Surely, it has severe effects on their social and practical life. I strongly agree with the notion that it is very difficult to live in such conditions with very little or no experience of the local language of that country.

The question of whether living in a foreign country can lead to serious social issues and practical problems is highly debated. Although moving to another country still offers a good chance for personal development, even if one cannot speak the local language, I entirely agree with the view that moving abroad and investing in yourself is worthwhile. This essay will examine both views before presenting and supporting my opinion.

Admittedly, living abroad can be highly beneficial in the long term. While facing a foreign language, new culture, and different traditions can help a person become more confident and flexible by adapting to new environments, and lead to a successful career. These advantages include learning through immersion and managing daily transactions such as accessing public services. Despite this, many people face communication barriers and struggle with daily tasks. Given this, many argue that living in a country where you speak a foreign language can cause social problems, such as understanding official documents, healthcare and education systems, as well as feeling excluded and isolated.

However, moving to a country where you have to speak a foreign language is neither impossible nor without benefits. First, there are many countries offering integration programs and community support, such as the US. In addition, in recent years, the development of technology has made language learning easier through online courses and translation apps, which help immigrants integrate with native speakers more easily and improve language skills over time.

In conclusion, although language challenges at the beginning when moving abroad can be inconvenient, in my opinion, I strongly believe that it is more advantageous for personal growth and cultural enrichment.

  3. Azimbek Mavlankulov says:

Nowadays, individuals who live in countries where they need to speak a foreign language can have problems, such as language barriers, and social and practical issues. This essay agrees with the given statement because, these days, many students who apply to foreign universities and people who move struggle with the language and culture.

First of all, human beings who move to other countries in order to work, study, and travel struggle with natives. The primary reason for that is the language barrier and local communities’ culture, tradition, and misunderstanding as well. In 2024, for instance, a group of students from NU in Kazakhstan made research where they concluded that most individuals who try to move to their dream countries struggle with subjective and social matters. As a result, people who live in a country where they have to speak a foreign language might have problems with misunderstanding locals.

On the other hand, individuals might adapt to the place where they live and the language. Drawbackly, these days many students’ desire is to move to their dream countries in order to study and develop. However, most of them did not consider that all across the world in different regions there are different rules and cultural things, which sometimes make them argue with locals due to misunderstanding by both the locals and the students. For example, in 2023 in the USA, a person originating from another state started arguing with a resident of that state because of language definitions, which became the reason for misunderstanding by both. As a result, people who need to speak a foreign language should consider all aspects of that place in order to have no issues with the residents of that spot.

In conclusion, I agree with the given statement; the primary reason for this is that people who are encouraged to speak a different language in the place where they live have some issues related to social and practical matters. In addition, I think that not only social issues but also misunderstanding between individuals and self-consciousness are main reasons for having trouble.

  4. Nurdaulet says:

Individuals who move to different countries often face some significant issues, such as practical and social problems. I disagree with this view because, although there is a high possibility that this will make the individual feel uncomfortable, I believe it will have several positive impacts on his or her self-development. For instance, the person will have a chance to learn other languages.

Living in foreign countries might be frightening for some people, especially for those who are introverted, because they usually have issues while communicating with other individuals. Nevertheless, it offers them a great opportunity to get out of their comfort zones. Since being able to communicate is one of the most significant abilities that an individual should have, people should learn to socialize. For instance, if a person is an introvert, by moving to another country, he or she has no other choice than to speak to other residents in that country. Hence, that person gets out of his or her comfort zone and gains new social abilities.

Learning other languages is another benefit of moving to a different country. For example, the individual, by moving abroad, has an opportunity to speak with foreigners. This can help him or her to see how native people speak and, therefore, learn their language more effectively. Being a polyglot, additionally, is a great exercise for the brain, since it activates new neuron cells. In addition, going abroad gives the person a chance to learn about the culture of that country and, hence, discover new facts. For instance, a traveller can gain knowledge about Samurai and local food if he visits Japan.

In conclusion, I disagree with this statement, but, nonetheless, I can understand why some people feel this way. In my opinion, living in foreign countries brings several benefits, such as learning their native language much faster and self-developing.

  5. Gultaj Alizade says:

Nowadays, it can be challenging to live in a different country and speak another language, which can cause social and practical issues. I strongly agree with the idea that speaking a non-native language can isolate individuals from the rest of society and can create obstacles in their daily lives.

Immigration from one country to another is very popular in today’s world; however, the language barrier is vital to consider. Individuals who must speak in another language can socialize less than the native speakers of that country. It is challenging for them to build friendships and find a social group to join; thus, this leads to isolation from other parts of the country because of language barriers. For example, Scandinavian languages are among the world’s hardest to learn. As a result, levels of depression and isolation increase among international students in Finland and Denmark year by year.

Additionally, speaking a different language might result in daily life problems such as not being able to read food labels in markets or issues with public transportation to reach one destination from another. In many nations, only the mother tongue is used for labeling products, which only local people can understand, and this can be discriminatory toward others. For example, in Narva, Estonia’s third-largest city, the population identifies as Russian speakers; however, this creates a huge issue in their lives, limiting their access to markets and ability to shop freely in the city.

In conclusion, living in another country is difficult due to the second-language barrier; this might create socialization problems, as well as various daily life difficulties.
