Some individuals think that when something bad happens, whether a rejection in a job position or a lack of income, acceptance is a good choice, while others prefer to try again and improve their situation. I strongly believe that whatever your personality and your circumstances, you should always keep moving and trying enough, because without failure there is no success. This essay will examine both views before presenting my opinion.
On the one hand, people generally believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, because life is a collection of ups and downs. By accepting that, individuals can learn how to handle and deal with future life difficulties. For example, post-graduate students sometimes have to do some work away from their major; admittedly, this situation is totally hard mentally and physically, especially if this work demands physical activity with low pay.
On the other hand, members of the community argue that after each bad situation happens, they should try again and again; this is the survival mindset, which does not know the concept of failure. Additionally, these people believe that life always has a second chance, using critical thinking to develop themselves more and more. For example, athletes or soldiers are the people who most have this kind of thinking; whatever and whenever they feel down, they always should try enough again.
In conclusion, acceptance in some situations is not weak or bad, but relying on it is not the answer. In my opinion, I believe that a survival mindset is the best basis you should build upon.
BAND:7
Many argue that it is completely fine to accept a difficult situation in life, such as an unsatisfactory employment or having limited money. Others believe that it is far more effective to try and enhance such conditions. This essay agrees that it is better to try and improve difficult conditions.
On the one hand, certain members of the community believe that it is best to accept bad times. By this I mean that ups and downs are part of life, and everyone experienced downs for some time. These challenging situations teach individuals to how to deal with facts like them in the future, and make them able to survive better in the upcoming days. For example, undergraduates do part-time jobs during their studies, which are very physically demanding and have low pay. Hence, these works give an experience of how to survive and deal with harsh circumstances. However, I believe that experiencing difficult conditions for a short time is okay but for a long term it is not good.
On the other hand, some argue that everyone have to enhance from critical times because life give an oppurtunity to every person for the improvement. Individuals do not have to stay for longer in hard circumstances, instead, they have to try and experience new paths and ways to gain success in their lives. Furthermore, mostly people do jobs which have low pay, but for a short period of time, they quit it and explore new. For instance, numerous engineers in Pakistan are not satisfied wit their salaries, and they are now moving for better future to Canada and America. That is why it is crucial for humans to explore new ways.
In conclusion, some think that accepting challenging days are best. However, I think that people have to experience hard times for certain time and then they should enhance from those conditions.
BAND 7
Some argue that accepting negative situations in life is the best course of action, while others (myself included) advocate for confronting these plights and working to overcome them.
Many opt to conform to difficult circumstances, be they financial, job, or personal problems, citing that, if they try to change them, they might end up in worse scenarios. For instance, an employee who complains about his or her work conditions may be fired if the company does not value its workforce’s quality of life and just focuses on the bottom line. Moreover, individuals facing domestic violence often choose to stay in such an adverse situation for fear of not having shelter or family support, as well as for shame of the negative perception society tends to have of people in similar positions.
On the other hand, when someone chooses to go up against each predicament that is thrown their way, they can fight the odds and become happier, achieve greater success, and lead a more fulfilling career (or private life). To illustrate, when a worker poses complaints about unfair occurrences in his or her workplace while also being proactive and proposing solutions that can maintain or increase productivity while also eliminating the pointed-out negative circumstances, he or she might be appreciated and become positively regarded by the company’s higher-ups. Consequently, he or she might be offered a promotion once an opportunity for one becomes available.
In conclusion, while fearing to face hardships one encounters is understandable and rational, if one does face them with an adequate and strategic attitude, one can obtain substantial benefits to one’s future.
