The bar graph illustrates the number of visitors of Caribbean Island over a seven years period from 2010 to 2017.
Overall, it can be seen that, there are two kinds of groups. Visitors for staying on cruise ships and visitors staying on island. Moreover, a group with both staying on cruise ship and island also exist. There was a erratic trend of the number of visitors throughout the period. The number of visitors staying on the island is comparatively higher than the numbers of visitors staying on cruise ships, however, there is a certain leap in the numbers in the year between 2015 and 2016.
To begin with, the visitors staying on island, the rate remains constant for a year. Aditionally, there was a significant increase of visitors, which is about 0.75 to 1.5 millions from the year 2011 to 2015. however, the rate saw a decline in 2016 following a steady increase over time.
On the other hand, the visitors staying on the island started with a steady incline at first, however the rate decline in the next year which is about 0.25 millions. After that, the number of visitors significantly increased over time which reached about 2 millions. Again, the number of combined visitors has been a dramatic increment from 1 millions to 3.5 millions throughout the year. According to many people, the printed books or newspaper will be replaced with the online version of e-book, which i strongly disagree with. Although, in the digital times, people have access of everything online but, it can not provide the nostalgic feelings of touch and smell of holding a printed book. Moreover, printed books and newspapers provide substantial funds to the creative writers, where a large amount of money comes from the customers who buy them. This essay will discuss the significance of printed books and argue whether online learning will takeover or not.
One of the main arguments in favour is that, online access of learning failed to provide the sensory feelings of holding a book, which is an essential component for any readers. However, the printed versions can help learner with this kind of sensation. Additionally, the online learning gadgets can be problamatic for readers at the time of travelling, because of charging capacity of the device and the fear of being damaged, such as in rainy times. For instance, e-book or tablets can be pickpocketed by the theives. Whereas, the fear of steeling printed books are comparatively less. Therefore, i think, printed books has the upper ground.
Although, free online source can be joyful for the readers, but has a negative impact for the writers due to no funds from the customer. Which makes the creative writers lost interest in writing. As a reasult, there can be low quality information or news, which can not hold the value for interest among the readers. However, this might not be the case for the printed books or newspaper, which have to be paid for buying them. For example, a novel book or a fiction book can costs a lot according to the demand. Therefore, printed books can be the prime source of fund for the writers, which can motivate the authors to write interesting facts.
To sum up, printed books or newspaper will hold its stage against the online learning in the future. i dont know why i kept getting banf 5. i dont think my writin quality is that bad.
The graph illustrates the number of tourists visiting a specific Caribbean island between 2010 and 2017.
Overall, the number of visitors, including those staying on cruise ships and those residing on the island had an upward trend during this period. The total number of tourists increased consistently over the period.
The number of visitors who stayed on the island fluctuated slightly over the period. This group of people was less than 1,000,000 in 2010. However, from 2011, the figure started rising until 2013, when it plateaued for a few years at 1.5 million visitors. Thereafter, it dipped slightly in 2016 and ended at 1.5 million visitors by 2017. In contrast, the tourists who were staying on cruise ships showed an increasing trend over the years except from 2011 to 2012, when the figure reduced from 0.5 million people to about 0.3 million people.
On the other hand, the total number of tourists increased significantly during this period, starting with 1 million visitors in 2010 and ending with 3.5 million people in 2017.
Many people believe that in the future, nobody will purchase printed books because they will be able to read everything they want online. I agree with this statement to a large extent due to the impacts of globalization and the fact that most writers would want their work to be safe.
Globalization has brought significant changes such as the use of the internet and mobile phones. The above mentioned factors make reading very convenient, because their availability reduces the need to plan for reading, thereby making it possible to read anywhere and whenever individuals want. In contrast, the use of physical books will make people plan, as they need to make a decision if they need to take the book out of their homes or not, without it getting lost. All of these will make people want to read online more. For instance, nowadays, when people are travelling, they download a lot of books from the internet which they read to engage themselves.
Furthermore, most writers want their works to remain durable and safe. This is because printed books are at risk of destruction by fire and/or water, which in turn encourages them to produce online articles. These articles are so safe that even after the demise of the writer, his or her work is available, accessible, and safe. Moreover, publishing a physical book is more expensive; nobody would want their work destroyed by any form of adversity after spending so much money to publish them, this will also make more writers produce online materials thereby encouraging individuals to read more online. An instance is a famous bookshop in Nigeria that got burnt so many years ago; it was a devastating experience because some of the books that were destroyed were the earliest editions. Such experience will make people upload most of their work online, thereby encouraging future generations to read online.
In conclusion, I concur with this statement because of the effect of modernization on society. However, most writers want their work to be preserved eternally.
