Many people think that professionals, such as engineers and doctors, should be required to work in the country where they did their training. While others believe that they should be free to work in another country if they wish. In this kind of situations, I give assistance to both sides, and I can easily say they can do both of them.
On one hand, professions always work in the same place, as a result they cannot foster their creativity, critical thinking. For instance, doctors, if a doctor works in one place during their life, yes, they can treat others without any difficulties. But if they do not upskill their selves, there is many challenging works in their life. To foster the development, they can go abroad and improve their studies, learn another easier way to tread people. Consequently, they can give treatment to people also in another country not in their own country.
On the other hand, engineers and doctors may also work in another country or city if they want. If professions want to work in another country there may be some challenges to go out from their country, because they should learn that countries language their nationality and what kind of disease hurts them. As a result, they spent too much money to leave, and if there is another problem in abroad, they face numerous problems. Therefore, they should go abroad for only improve their learnings and work in their own country.
In conclusion, professions such as doctors and engineers who work in their country but they also should improve their selves in abroad or in another country.
Nowadays, people from different professions get their degrees and training from foreign countries and after that they prefer to settle and work in those states instead of their home country. Some people argue that doctors and engineers should work in the country from where they did their training, while others believe that people from such professions should be free to work anywhere in the world. From my perspective, there should be no restrictions on professionals to bind them in a particular country.
To begin with, when experts do their training in a particular country, that state invests a lot of money to prepare a highly competent person in STEM. The driving force behind the investment is that every state wants to stand out in sciences to compete with other countries in novel research. For instance, a scientist from Japan, Shinya Yamanaka, developed the world’s first stem cell therapy and won the Nobel Prize in 2012, and later took the world by storm. This is how scientists can make their country proud in research and innovation at a global level.
On the other hand, many believe that specialists should be allowed to work regardless of their training country. Sometimes, bright minds cannot get access to high-technology labs and the right mentors in their own states, so they have to move to other well-developed countries to use their full potential. Moreover, when experts from different nations work together on a problem, they end up making the best solution, from which anyone can get the full benefit. For example, engineers from all walks of life are working at NASA right now to make the greatest discoveries in space, which will not only give benefits to the USA, but all nations will take advantage of the innovations equally.
From my perspective, great scientists should have full access to the world’s best labs because there are a lot of hidden gems on our planet which still need to be discovered. This is only possible when renowned institutes will be able to recognize competent people from any profession and train them well to make their race proud, which is the human race.
In conclusion, some people think that working in their own country is best for professionals, but to use the full potential of scientists, we should allow them to work anywhere in the world.
band-8.5
There is a debate on whether professionals, such as doctors and engineers, should work in the country where they were trained, or if these professionals should have the freedom to work elsewhere. While I understand why many claim that these people should contribute to the country where they received their training, I wholeheartedly believe that professionals should be free to choose their place of work.
Those who support this view provide seemingly compelling reasons. The first reason is the technological and environmental familiarity, as professionals trained locally are well-accquainted with the cultural and technological context, which is crucial for providing relevant solutions. Secondly, many governments subsidize the education of professionals, especially in fields of medicine and engineering; therefore, talent retention ensures that the financial resources invested in education are not wasted.
However, I completely agree that not only professionals, including doctors and engineers, but also all postgraduates have the right to opt for their ideal place of work. Firstly, it is a matter of personal freedom and career fulfillment, as allowing these talented people to work in countries they wish can lead to higher job satisfaction. This could be explained by the fact that these people can pursue roles that align with their personal and professional goals. For instance, a medical researcher might seek opportunities in countries with advanced medical facilities. Furthermore, being a global citizen allows professionals to gain more experience, as working abroad exposes them to different practices and technologies, potentially enhancing their skills and knowledge.
In conclusion, while I acknowledge the efforts in talent retention of countries and governments, I believe that it is a matter of freedom to choose where to work, as well as opportunities to broaden one’s knowledge.
Having a higher degree of education is essentially important in modern life. It can be aimed at many areas, but it is best if we can afford it in developed countries. STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) majors could develop key skills including problem-solving, creativity, and critical analysis. This degree has seen increasing demand in jobs for the last decades.
The community believes that STEM professionals should serve the country for the progress of the nation and the sake of togetherness. On the other hand, many of them do not get paid equally, and mostly the council overlooks them. For example, poor health insurance from the council, terrible research facilities, and still needing to pay higher taxes.
While working abroad would provide higher income, more value, better health facilities, and furthermore, it is getting a chance to have another nationality. Despite all the good things, there will always be a burden. For some people, they cannot leave their family behind, or because of scholarship obligations, they have to return to their country of origin and serve there for some years. For instance, LPDP (Ministry of Finance Scholarship) and Chevening scholarships require recipients to return to their home country after finishing their studies. In my opinion, it is our right to be living and having a life anywhere we want. No nation can intervene in this matter unless it is written in the scholarship responsibility.
To conclude, STEM professionals are essential and in demand in many countries. Despite my perspective that working in any nation is a human right, serving one’s nation of origin is a sign of good nationalism. Nevertheless, the support of the authorities is very much needed.
