The line graph illustrates the number of stores that closed and those that opened in a particular country over a seven-year period, from 2011 to 2018.

At first glance, despite fluctuations, both the number of shop closures and openings experienced an overall downward trend throughout this period. Notably, the highest figures for store closures and openings were observed in 2013 and 2011, respectively, while the lowest figures were recorded in 2015 and 2018.

Upon closer examination, it is evident that although both the number of store closures and openings decreased significantly, the decline in closures was only 1,000, compared to a much larger decrease of approximately 5,500 openings by 2018. Additionally, the number of closures dipped below 1,000, with a sharp decline occurring between 2014 and 2015.

A specific analysis of store openings reveals that the number of openings entered a plateau, remaining at 4,000 between 2015 and 2016, while they showed negligible growth, increasing by about 100 by 2017. BAND 8.0

The line chart illustrates how many shops closed and new shops opened in a particular country over a seven-year period from 2011 to 2018.

Overall, what can be seen from the line chart is that the number of shop openings experienced a declining trend during the said period, although with significant fluctuations leading to several instances of role reversal.

Looking at the figures in detail regarding store closures, the number of store closures was less than that of store openings, at approximately 6500. The figure plunged slightly to 6000 in 2012, and then this number reached a peak at over 7000 in 2013 before declining to 6500 in 2014. However, the year 2015 witnessed a dramatic drop in the number of store closures, plummeting to just under 1000. Following that, the closures rate recovered gradually, reaching over 5000 and maintaining that figure despite minor fluctuation, respectively.

Regarding new store openings, the figure for store openings was greater than that of store closures, at around 8500. There was a significant decline in the number of store openings, hitting a trough of 4000 before picking up steadily to 5000 in 2013 and over 6000 in 2014. The year 2015 witnessed a moderate drop again in openings rate, falling to around 4000 and remaining consistent at that number until 2017. In the last year, a slight decrease to 3000 was seen in the number of store openings.

The line graph compares the number of shops that closed and those that opened in a particular country between 2011 and 2018.

Overall, both shop closures and openings followed a generally downward trend over the period, although closures experienced a dramatic drop in 2015, while openings fluctuated more steadily. It is also clear that in most years, more shops opened than closed, except during the middle part of the period.

In 2011, shop openings stood at around 8,500, significantly higher than closures, which were approximately 6,500. While closures increased slightly to around 7,000 in 2012, openings fell sharply to just above 4,000. By 2013, however, openings recovered to around 6,000, whereas closures peaked at roughly 7,600, the highest figure recorded for closures across the entire period.

From 2014 onward, both categories declined. Closures fell moderately to 6,000 in 2014 before plunging dramatically to only about 500 in 2015, the lowest point on the graph. This figure then rebounded sharply to around 5,000 in 2016 and remained relatively stable through 2017 and 2018. Meanwhile, openings dropped to around 4,000 in 2014 and then fluctuated between 4,000 and 6,000 in the final four years, ending at roughly 3,000 in 2018.

In summary, although both shop openings and closures decreased overall, closures showed far more volatility, particularly in 2015, while openings exhibited more moderate fluctuations.

Overall, it can be seen that the both trends showed significan fluctuations over the time. However, the number of shop opening started high and declined at the end of the period, the trend of shop closure was volatile, which showed dramatic drop in 2015 before stabilizing.

The number for opening went down sharply to 4000 in 2012, the figure gradually increased to 6000 in 2014 and then fell down to 4000 in 2015. The graph provides information about the number of shop closures in comparison to openings in one country from 2011 to 2018.
Overall, it is evident that both figures fluctuated significantly throughout the period. The number of shop closures was consistently higher than new shops, before dropping markedly in 2015.
At the beginning of the period, the number of new shops was much higher than closures. However, this trend was not maintained, and the former figure showed a decline to just below 4,000 in 2012. Shop openings reached a recovery peak of 6,000 in 2014, almost as high as closures in the same year. Meanwhile, shop closures underwent a significant downward trend, falling to their lowest point by 2015.
After a period of volatility, the number of closures stabilized at around 5,000 for the remainder of the period from 2016 to 2018. While the figure for new shops remained almost stable for three years, it dropped sharply to just 3,000 by the end of the period in 2018. In general, compared with openings, closures accounted for a much larger share throughout the timeframe.

  8. Amna Malik says:

The graph illsutrates the information of the number of shop closures and openings in one country between 2011 and 2018.

Overall, there is an unstable change in closing and opening shops throughout the year, some decreased and others increased.

In 2011, there were round 64,000 shop closures while openings were slighlty higher than the closures at approximately 85,000. But then the number of closures shop peaked in 2013 reaching about 7,300, whereas the number of openongs dripped at the 39,000 during the same year. This suggest a challenging period due to the instability of ecomomy.

In 2014, closures and opening shop are equal to each other at the same point round about 6,000. In 2015, openings shop had slightly dripped at 4,000 while closures shop falling nearly to1,000.

From 2016 to 2018, both shops closures and openings stabilized between 4,000 to 5,000. Hence opening was slighlty downward as compared to closures.

  9. Atiya says:

The given line graph demonstrates the number of stores that ended their operations, and the stores that started their service from 2011 to 2018.

Overall, it is clear that both trends have experienced significant fluctuations throughout the period. Notably, the trajectory of closed shops showed a huge dip in 2015, whereas the number of opening ones witnessed a miraculous decrease, followed by a rise, which then reversed into a decline.

At the beginning of the period, the number of opening shops started at the highest point at 8,500 shops, but by 2012, this figure had dropped to 4000 stores. After that, its proportion stabilized, reaching 6000, followed by a decrease to 4000 again, but also surpassing the closures trend. For the next two years, this number had been constant and then declined to its lowest point at 3000 shops.

Turning to closures, in 2011, with the rate at 6,500 closures, the number experienced a slight decline to 6000. Despite the minor increase to 7000 in 2013, this figure plummeted to a minimum of 500 shops in 2015. However, by the following year, with a rise to nearly 5000 closures, its figure stayed relatively stable until the end of the period, while the openings were fewer by 2000. 7.0

  10. Azimbek Mavlankulov says:

The graph below presents information about the number of shops which closed and opened in one nation over the period.

Overall, it is evident that the number of stores that closed witnessed a dramatic decline, after which it stable. While the numerous shops that opened experienced a miraculous decrease, followed by a rise which then reversed into falling down. Interestingly, in 2015 the number of shops which were closing saw a significant decline.

Examining the details, openings being dominant witnessed a significant decline, from around 8,500 to 4,000 between two years. After which, it tried to stabilize and reached up to 6,000 in 2014, followed by a remarkable decrease to again 4,000 in 2015. Next, it was constant for next 2 years, after which the trend maintained, and openings fell down to 3,000.

Turning to closures, in 2011 with rate at 6,500 it saw a slightly down to 6,000 over the next year, after which it reached its peak at over 7,000. Then, it felt a noticeable decline to the point from which it started, after which the trend felt a miraculous down to 500 in 2015. Then, the trend reversed, and a significant rise was showed, followed by being constant for over the period at 5,000.
