John loved spending time in his treehouse. It was his own little world, as opposed to the normal hustle and bustle of family life. One afternoon, while perched high above the ground, John noticed an orange object peeking out from the leaves of a nearby oak tree. Curiosity peaked, he carefully climbed down from his haven and went to obtain it. It was a beautiful, ripe orange with a number on it, unlike any others he had ever seen before. He wondered about its origin, how it got there, so far from any orchard. John decided to take the orange home, hoping his parents would have some notion of where it came from. They were still at the office, however, so he spent the rest of the afternoon pondering the mystery, occupying himself with online searches and considering every option. Had it fallen from a plane? Was it left by a squirrel? But ultimately, the origin of the orange remained a secret.
