So, one of the moments I felt proud of actually involved my younger brother. A couple of years ago he was struggling badly at school. His quizzes were dropping and he had almost completely lost interest in studying. At first everyone in family, including me, was quite worried. And some relatives keep saying that he simply wasn’t the academic type and should just focus on something practical. But I didn’t want to give up on him that easily. I started spending my evenings with him after his class, going through his hard work together and trying to figure out exactly where he was getting stuff. It wasn’t easy. He was frustrated most of the time and honestly so was I especially after a long day of university war. There was one evening when he was exhausted and ready to quit altogether, but little by little something started to shift. He began asking questions instead of just giving up, and he started actually wanting to understand the material instead of just memorizing it. By the end of the academic year, he had not only cut off his class, but ended up being one of the top students in the history. When I saw his final result, I honestly couldn’t believe it. I was over the moon, probably even more excited than he was. His transformation taught me so little more important that people are capable of far more than others or even they themselves believe as long as someone is patient enough to stick with them. to this day whenever I doubt whether effort is worth it I think back to how far came
