Off the top of my head when I think about the time I went to a crowded place, I would like to talk about a volunteering event I participated in 2 weeks ago. To start with, I was scrolling through my Facebook new feed when I came across a post recruiting volunteers for a charity organization. I signed up and was accepted to take part in this event. It involved international high school students from homecoming visiting an underprivileged primary school in Vietnam to help build on outdoor library and teach the students some basic English. My role was to assist with teaching and to translate in case the students didn’t understand English. If I remember correctly, it was during the break after we finished teaching that all of the students surrounded us and asked for autographs. It felt like a behave. I was scrumptured by students who were excited yelling and asking me to sign their notebook as keepsakes at first the noise was overwhelming but their enthusiasm was unusually heard when it was the first time many of them had met foreigners so they were incredibly excited. Eventually, I had to make my way through the crowd to reach the meeting room and take a break before the next class. I would say it was the noisiest place I’ve ever been but it was also one of the most delightful experience. If I had another opportunity and some spare time, I would love to get involved in more volunteering activities like this to gain more wonderful experience.
