I'm going to talk about the first job I had when I was in college. At that time, I wasn't sure what career I wanted or what I truly enjoyed. So, I randomly applied for a part-time teaching assistant position at an English center in Hanoi because my major was English. I wanted to get a job that would allow me to use my English skills as much as possible. My main duties involved coordinating class activities, from preparing learning and reference materials to helping students understand what foreign teachers said. Some students might not grasp everything being taught, but after I gave them a quick paraphrase, they finally understood. It was always rewarding to see students confidently respond to the teachers' questions, their eyes shining a little brighter as if they had achieved enormous success. I couldn't help but smile at that moment of achievement. I also assisted in checking students' essays twice a week. The job pushed me to study more attentively to improve my academic knowledge, significantly enhancing my public speaking skills, and giving me a head start for my teaching career later on. I worked there for nearly two years before I decided to stop and concentrate on my last year of study at university. While I had the job, I devoted myself to fulfilling my duties to the highest standard. I still keep in touch with some of my old colleagues, and we are now close friends. I'll never forget this part-time job because it gave me a rewarding experience as well as long-lasting friendships. I also remember spending my first month's earnings on buying a new cell phone, and I felt so proud of that.
