I have to say that she is the kind of leader who puts others before herself by being willing to raise her voice to protect women’s rights, even when she knows that the crowd might lash out at her. Recently, she has launched the he four C campaign in order to put forward the correct defition of Feunism, which is definitely not synonymous with man hating. Last year, her inspiring speech at the United nations headquarters had challenged many gender based assumptions which are not only about how women should shouldder on the family burdens, but also about the norm that men shouldn’t express it their feelings. So, basically, by raising awareness for everyone through her project, she facilitated developing countries to achieve gender equality in the near future with the equality of healthcare, educational, and career opportunities for both men and women. I don’t know what is happening in other countries, but as a woman in an asian society, I do believe that education is a key to help, uh, us open the door to a brighter future. I hope Emma will come to Vietnam one day and empower women in my country to stand up for their rights, because I know many of them still have to suffer from physical and mental abuse from their partners.
