Today, I would like to speak about Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal is located in Agra. It is one of the greatest historical monuments of India. It typically looks like a mosque. And I personally like this monument a lot because it was built by King Shahjahan for his beloved wife, Mumtaz. The story behind this monument is that Mumtaz died while giving birth to her 14th child. The king, Shahjahan, was very much depressed and decided to build a monument in her memory. Thus, the Taj Mahal was constructed. It took about 12 years to construct this Taj Mahal, and about 20,000 people were engaged in the making of this great monument. In the center of this monument is an area reserved for Mumtaz's tomb. What attracts me to this monument is that Shahjahan spent a lot of his money on this gift for his beloved wife, Mumtaz. Despite this, the Taj Mahal is also visually attractive. It was built using white marble and precious stones. Many stones were even imported from other countries like Europe. Another major attraction is the gardens surrounding the Taj Mahal on three sides.
