The monument that I personally like is called Akora Jyotangala, which translates to Intonatable Wing. It is located near the campus of the University of Thaka, at the intersection of two main roads, one leading to TSC and the other to Shahabah group and the Secretary. It is quite a populous place, situated at this intersection. The sculpture is made from white marble, which is stunning to look at. The monument physically represents five people holding hands together, forming a circle, and they all have a gun, stick, or rifle on their shoulders. They symbolize freedom of movement. I like this monument because I feel inspired by it; it truly represents the essence of the people of Bangladesh during the freedom fight of the liberation war. It acknowledges the great sacrifices that the people of our country made during the fight for liberation. It will always be a source of inspiration for us going forward. Because it is located near the University of Thaka, everyone studying there—young, brilliant minds for the country—sees the monument every day. They truly have in their hearts a love and sense of belonging to their country, to their motherland.
