The music was unparalleled love, making it impossible to hold a conversation without shouting. Most of the guests were strangers to me. The few people I knew were preoccupied with their own leagues. The food and drinks were overrides and the menu began cater to my preferences, which added to my discomfort. On top of that, I had the early morning the last night, so the late night timing of the party didn’t suit me well. What I regretted most about going was how out of the place I felt. Instead of enjoying myself, I spent the majority of the evening counting down the minutes until I took leave without seeing the route. I realized I had sacrificed my tough and comfort to attend something that didn’t align with my personality or priorities.
