If I had to describe a person who loves to grow plants that would be my mom. She is a person who likes a lot of eco-friendly things and she has a lot of plants in my garden as well. This range from different types of flowers such as anthorium and roses to small fruits and also certain type of vegetables that can be grown in plants. She delicately adds different types of compost based on the certain type of plant. She also takes these pots from place to place to make sure that each pot gets the sufficient amount of sunlight. I am a person who doesn’t know anything about plants or doesn’t know anything of how to grow plants and how to take care of them. However, my mom is very knowledgeable in this sense as she believes that taking care of plants is somewhat of taking care of a child. You need to nurture them well, you need to provide the specific and sufficient amount of nutrients and you need to take care of plants like you take care of your child. She used to have a bigger garden but since we moved houses recently, the number of plants have also decreased. However, her passion for taking care of different types of plants has it. Every time we go on trips to different parts of Sri Lanka, she tends to buy certain plants as from New Relia, she buys plants that have smaller leaves because the temperature is a bit more humid. So plants tend to have smaller leaves. She brings these plants with us when we come back to our home from these trips and she tends to plant all these plants back in our garden. So by now she has a variety of plants ranging from her.
