Unfortunately, things didn’t go according to plan. The night before our departure, the Wazir forecast wanted a hawy rain and strong winds. At first, we were reluctant to cancel the trip, hoping the weather would improve. However, by the following morning it became obvious that traveling would be both uncomfortable and potentially unsafe. Rather than staying at home we came up with a different idea. We met in Tashkent instead, had lunch at a restaurant, watched the film at the cinema and ended the day with a relaxing walk around the Tashkent City Park. Changing back, changing our plan was probably the best decision we could have made. It taught me that unexpected situations are unavoidable and the ability to adapt is often more valuable than sticking to a plan at off-costs.
