Greetings, my name is Ashurama Nujur. I graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. So in my university, I found a rule that is simply unnecessary. The rule is if someone misses and turns final examination, the reason for missing can be anything. He might be upset. he might have an accident, anything. If someone, in season exam, they will have the opportunity to retake the exam. But after retaking the exam, the highest grade he or she can get is three out of four. Like if he does really well, he deserves a grade of four, he will get three because the bar is set at highest three. cannot achieve four, even if he gets a mark that is equivalent to grading of four. People have to follow it because this rule is built into the ordinance of the university and it is not easy to change it. Like if we want to change this rule, the syndicate of the university has to decide to change it, then they will have to send this amendment for approval to the president of this country and after the approval of the president it can be implemented. But this is a very tedious process, very lengthy process and no one wants to start or initiate this process. I think this rule should be changed because people can miss their examination to a serious place for our freedoms. Like they may feel safe, they may have family problems or other problems as well.
