This rule was implemented to help students focus more on their studies and not get distracted. Many students use their phones for social media which can reduce concentration and affect learning. And usually I try to follow this rule by keeping my phone in my back or turning it off during class. Sometimes I also put it on silent mode so I am not tempted to take it. However, I find this real challenging because I’m quite used to using my phone frequently. For instance, I often want to take messages or click-laces for information, also sometimes phones can actually help with learning, like using a dictionary or a translation such as Google Translate. Overall, even though I understand why this view is important, it is still difficult for me to follow all the time because of my habits.
