Rules are very important in our lives. If there are no rules at our workplace or school, there will be no appropriate balance in our lives. Sometimes I like rules and sometimes I do not, but here I would like to talk about a rule that was in my childhood school that I had to follow. That rule was to wear uniforms every day. We had a uniform consisting of a white shirt paired with black trousers. We had to wear that every day, six days a week. It was kind of boring for me to wear the same outfit every day. But at the same time, I think this rule promotes discipline among students and encourages equality. I also think it is okay to wear uniforms because then you do not have to worry about what you are going to wear each day. You are free from that stress, and it also reduces the trend of being overly fashionable among students, promoting equality and discipline. I remember one time when I broke this rule; it was my birthday, and I wore a skirt with the white shirt. I was fined 100 rupees. I felt sad and sorry about that. If everyone else broke the rule, there were some punishments for the students, such as staying in the playground with their hands straight up for some time. You could also be punished with fines. So, that was a rule that we really had to follow in school.
