From my perspective, one of the most difficult skills to learn is actually learning a new language. I think this skill is hard because you are learning from scratch something you normally have known since you were a kid. Using the new tenses, you have to learn the adverbs and articles to create a coherent sentence, which might be harder than we actually think. Usually, people can take classes or practice speaking to reach a certain level in a language. For example, lately, I've been trying to learn Italian. I chose this language because it's very close to Spanish. It comes from the same root in etymology, which is Latin. So we have a lot of similarities in our languages. Still, it's a little bit hard because we have something called false friends, which are words that we think have a meaning but actually have a totally different meaning or are not related at all. The interesting part about our languages is not only their etymology but also how different they are from one another. No matter how close or how different they are, the way we read them, the intonation, the pronunciations, and the writing come from different contexts and have developed differently through the years. Learning a language is very valuable, and acquiring new languages is something most people need to develop because we are currently living in a globalized world where everything is connected, but at the same time, everyone is closer. So learning a new language will help you connect better with people from different nationalities and learn more about yourself and other cultures.
