Well, this was a decision that I made out of anger. I was waiting at the hospital as a surgical technician. However, I was a qualifier and I was not supposed to be performing that function. However, all attempts at getting out my basin during the job was more appreciated. And so I have taken a decision out of anger to specialize in anesthesia, which is a branch of medicine which deals with sedating patients or putting patients to sleep prior to surgery and then managing them throughout their procedures. This decision I took has changed my life dramatically in that it offered many other opportunities for me which eventually enabled me to commission to the Ghana Fosi Senbikim and officer in the military. There are also choices available for me, whether I remain there, then rise up to become the officer in charge of that department. But that came with limited options, limited opportunities. And there is no progress in that line of duty. So I’ll say this has transformed my life drastically because it has offered me the opportunity to acquire additional profession to my medical career which has actually doubled my paycheck and made life more comfortable for me and my family. It was a small decision I made, basically, because I was mad at somebody, but looking back, I’m always grateful for that particular individual for pushing me out of my comfort zone and grant me the opportunity to make me the better version of myself.
