Actually, it was the first time I had to go there and I felt so confident about finding the place because I had looked at the map before. However, I misunderstood the directions and unfortunately I got lost on the way to make things worse. I also ran into the traffic accident on a narrow road. It was a serious crash but it caused a big traffic jam and I was stuck for quite a while. I almost cannot assist that road and by the time I got out, it was already too late. As a result, I missed the appointment completely. After that, I immediately called my manager to report the situation I met and gave her a sincere apology. She was understanding but she could tell she was still a bit disappointed. This experience taught me a valuable lesson. I should always prepare more carefully for important events especially when going to a new place. I think I should make a habit to leave from at least one hour early just in case anything expected happens.
