Yeah, I want to talk about a time I overcame a significant language barrier. It happened a few years ago when I went to Lumbini with my friends. When we were visiting a Korean temple, I wanted to use the bathroom. But as my friends had already left ahead for clicking photos, I couldn’t find any Nepali people there and I was so confused because I didn’t know the way to the bathroom and it was really urgent. I could only find tourists exploring the area. So I came across a German couple. I didn’t know what to say because they didn’t understand my language. I was extremely nervous because I urgently wanted to use the bathroom and I didn’t know how to ask them. So I tried to sign them that I wanted to use bathroom but they didn’t get it. So the only thing I could do is take out the Google translator and ask them by talking in my language and then translating to German. I did exactly that and finally they were able to understand and fortunately they knew the way to the bathroom. They were kind enough to help me by showing the way and I finally got to use it. It was a hectic yet cute experience.
