I'd like to share a time when I received money as a gift. It was New Year's Eve a year ago, and my brother was in another country. He wanted to buy me a wristwatch, which was quite expensive. I told him that instead of buying the watch, could he just give me the money? I wanted to use it to travel because I had always dreamed of seeing snow. Uzbekistan, where I live, doesn't get snow in the winter. So, he gave me the money as a gift, and I used it to travel to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. I stayed at a four-star hotel in the city center called the Hilton. I also enjoyed meals at a couple of restaurants, one Italian and one serving traditional Uzbek cuisine. The main purpose of my trip was to see snow. So, I went to the mountains, which are about 60 kilometers from Tashkent. I spent a day there, enjoying the snow, and then returned to the city.
