However as the minutes turned into hours and there was no sign of movement, I started feeling frustrated and stressed. I tried to make the best of it by calling a few friends to chat. But as the traffic congestion perished at my anxiety degree, I was worried about being late for the family gathering as it was an important event. The heat from the sun made things worse and the lack of air conditioning in the car made me feel even more uncomfortable. By the time I finally reached my destination, I had been stuck in traffic for nearly 2 hours. Although I was relived to get out for the car, the experience let me fling exhausted. The whole situation made me realise how essential it is to plan ahead and allow extra time for travel. Especially during peak times or when there are big events in the city.
