When it comes to a tradition that my country has, I would like to mention a tradition of making banh chung. This is a special cake that is produced during the Tet holiday. This cake is a square-shaped cake composed of sticky rice, pork belly, and mung beans, and these materials are carefully wrapped in young leaves and boiled for many hours. What makes the process of making this cake special is the cultural significance behind it, as this cake symbolizes gratitude to our ancestors and the Earth God according to Vietnamese culture. Besides that, when all the family members gather together to make this cake, it creates a festive and cozy atmosphere. Overall, when it comes to tradition in my country, the first one that comes to my mind is the tradition of making banh chung.
