But now I would like to describe about Independence Day celebration in my country, which is very memorable for me. So we celebrate Independence Day every 17th of August and we started by having a flag ceremony as like in Indonesia flag ceremony is a symbol of nationalism. So we usually have it not only in Independence Day but every Monday as well. However, in Independence Day, it is kind of a special flag ceremony because we also sang the Independence Day song beside our national anthem. So what people usually do during this time is for people who work in the government sector or even for students. They have to do flex ceremony in the morning and then after that usually there’s some competition. Traditional competition and plays which is in my opinion very interesting. for example, like jumping rope, and then climbing certain type of pole. It is something that is fascinating. And then besides that, also people dress up to sometimes like traditional custom or or even other things that make them remember about the Independence Day. It is very special because we only celebrate it once a year.
