In fact, many Uzbek people believe that no celebration is complete without this meal. And when it comes to its preparation, plov is made with meat, rice, onions, carrots and various of spices. All the ingredients are cooked slowly in a large pot allowing flavors to blend perfectly. And during preparation it gives off a mouthwatering aroma that can be smelled from a considerable distance. For large events skillet cooks are often invited to prepare it because making a plov for for hundreds of guests requires a great deal of experience. And I really like this meal for several reasons. First of all, it’s rich flavor that I never get tired of. Also, whenever I eat plov, it gives me a sense of nostalgia and reminds me of many joyful family guest rings. And besides that, this food is not merely a dish, but also a symbol of our traditions and cultural identity. And that’s why it remains one of my all-time favorite meals.
