We encounter a lot of advertisements every day while watching movie or while using YouTube or some Instagram account. I think advertisements has a great impact on today’s youth. Some ads are very beneficial, very knowledgeable and are funny in nature. But there are also many apps which are demotivating and are very wrong. I personally do not like advertisements more but today I would like to tell you about an advertisement which I saw last month while I am watching TV with my family. The ad was related to some fairness cream. In my country, the trend of using fairness creams is quite common. There are a lot of companies who are manufacturing various fairness products. In that advertisement, it indicates that a girl who is weak in studies and has less confidence uses that fairness cream twice or thrice. After using that cream, her complexion becomes 2-3 shade lighter. As a result, she gains some more confidence. I think this is totally wrong. These types of advertisements misguide our youth and create a sense of less confidence or hate among our society. Apart from this, I also saw an app related to an energy drink in which they relate that energy drink with their educational system. It represents a one student who is very tired during studies, go to his kitchen and grab one bottle of sting which is an energy drink. He consumed that energy drink and immediately gained some energy. After that, he completed his school project. Next day, he submitted his project and got some good marks. I think this is very demotivating for the students who are really doing very hard work and making efforts to complete their project or to gain good grades in school. So I think these types of ads should be banned from schools as well as from online platforms.
