Basically, we weren’t allowed to use our phones at school. It wasn’t written down anywhere, but we knew it exactly. Our teachers always reminded us about it. We were children. And the temptation to use our phones when the lesson was so boring and exhausting was stronger than our discipline, I think, so we often broke this rule. I remember many occasions when I used my phone despite this restriction and I can tell you about one specific situation that has stuck in my mind since that day. It was during a Russian literature lesson we had a pretty linear teacher, but sometimes she could be strict despite her soft character. So one day we read a story out loud and I had already read that story at home just before, So I wasn’t interested in reading it again. And I decided to read something else on my phone, because generally I’ve always been interested in reading. And I put my head on the desk, and I held my phone under the desk, and I looked at it. And so after many 5 or 10 minutes, I think she noticed it and she told me to stop doing it, to come up to her and without the words she took away my phone. For me, I think right now I understand the reason of this because even given the fact I had already read this text. It was useful for me. It was worthwhile for me to read it, revise it, because repetition is the matter of learning. And so certainly it would be useful for me.
