This topic immediately reminds me of an accomplishment I achieved about 2 years ago. It was a step towards my dream. Getting into my dream high school was a big deal. I suppose the school's name says it all - to get in, I had to take an advanced English test and compete against hundreds of other students. At first, I didn't believe in my ability, and I didn't think I could make it. So I didn't intend to take the test, but thanks to the encouragement from family and friends, I decided to give it a go. And mind you, it was about 1 month before the test. So with little time, no tutor, or any sort of preparation, I began to prepare for the test with all my English skills. In preparation for the test, I created a study plan aimed at enhancing my listening and writing skills, which I have struggled with for a very long time. Specifically, I began to listen to English podcasts, but was led to immerse myself in the language. Which remains one of my daily habits today. Uh, I also spent countless hours trying to expand my vocabulary and writing range in hopes of applying them to my essay. And after all my hard work and tears, it finally paid off. I finally passed the test and got into my dream school. When I received the score, I was delighted to find out that I had surpassed my expectations and passed with flying colors. This achievement is important to me for several reasons. One main reason is that it is a testament to all my hard work and dedication. Looking back, I'm so proud that I didn't give up on myself and worked diligently to achieve my goals. From that experience, I have realized that I'm capable of achieving the impossible, and I would definitely strive for more ambitious goals. Besides passing the test, getting into my dream high school was a major achievement. I will always look back on it as one of the highlights of my life.
